01 Step One

Product Information Confirmation

Every mold begins with precise understanding. We collaborate closely with your team to confirm every technical detail before engineering begins -- eliminating ambiguity at the source.

  • 2D/3D drawings and CAD file review
  • Material specifications -- solid or liquid silicone, hardness, color
  • Target quantities, surface finish, and compliance targets (FDA/LFGB)
  • Secondary processes -- silk screen, UV coating, assembly needs
02 Step Two

DFM Analysis -- Design for Manufacturing

Our engineering team conducts a comprehensive DFM report, identifying potential structural risks and optimization opportunities before any steel is cut. This is where we save you weeks and significant tooling cost.

Flow Simulation

Predicts weld lines, air traps, and short shots in silicone injection.

Wall Thickness

Flags uneven thickness that may cause curing defects or sink marks.

Draft Angles

Verifies demolding feasibility for complex pet product geometries.

Cost Optimization

Suggests cavity count, gate placement, and cycle time improvements.

03 Step Three

Mold Structure Design

Senior mold designers produce detailed 3D structural drawings including parting lines, cooling systems, ejection mechanisms, and runner layouts -- all tailored for silicone-specific curing behavior.

Parting Line Strategy Minimize visible flash
Cavity Layout Multi-cavity optimization
Venting System Precise air escape
Ejection Mechanism Damage-free demolding
04 Step Four

Customer Mold Design Confirmation

No cutting begins without your signed approval. We present the complete mold design package via video review or on-site meeting, incorporating your feedback until every detail aligns with your product vision.

Design Package

Full 3D views, exploded assemblies, and critical dimensions.

Revision Rounds

Unlimited design iterations until mutual approval.

Signed Approval

Formal sign-off locks the specification baseline.

Documentation

Full technical dossier archived for traceability.

05 Step Five

Mold Material Preparation

We procure premium tool steel from certified mills, matched to your production volume and silicone type. Material certificates are retained for every mold batch to ensure full traceability.

CNC & EDM Precision Machining

High-speed CNC centers and EDM machines cut cavities, cores, and intricate details to tolerances within ±0.01 mm. Every machining stage is inspected before progressing.

CNC

5-Axis CNC Milling

Rough and finish cutting of complex 3D cavity geometries.

EDM

Electrical Discharge Machining

Sharp corners, deep ribs, and fine textures impossible to mill.

WED

Wire EDM

Ultra-precision slot and insert cutting with zero mechanical stress.

07 Step Seven

Mold Assembly & Fitting

Master mold makers hand-fit every component -- cavity, core, slides, lifters, ejector systems, and runners -- ensuring perfect alignment and smooth action before first trial.

  • ✓ Precision polishing of parting surfaces for flash-free sealing
  • ✓ Installation of heating plates and temperature sensors
  • ✓ Smooth operation testing of ejector pins and slides
  • ✓ Final dimensional verification against approved CAD data

Step Eight

T0 -- First Mold Trial

The moment of truth. The finished mold is loaded onto a production press and the first silicone shots are produced under real manufacturing conditions.

Parameter Tuning

Temperature, curing time, and injection pressure optimized live.

First Shot Capture

Initial T0 samples are documented with photos and dimensional reports.

Trial Report

A complete T0 trial report is shared with you within 48 hours.

09 Step Nine

Sample Evaluation & Mold Modification

T0 samples are shipped for your evaluation alongside our internal QC report. Based on combined feedback, we fine-tune the mold -- polishing surfaces, adjusting cavities, or revising gates until samples meet every spec.

T1 Modification

Address dimensional, cosmetic, or functional feedback.

T2 Validation

Confirmation samples sent for second-round approval.

Golden Sample Lock

Signed reference sample sealed for mass production comparison.

10 Step Ten

Final Mold Acceptance

Formal mold acceptance includes dimensional CMM reports, surface finish verification, cycle time validation, and lifecycle guarantees. Every mold ships with a complete acceptance dossier.
