01 Requirement Confirmation

We listen before we build.

Every project begins with a structured discovery call. Our engineers translate your brief into measurable production specifications -- eliminating ambiguity before tooling.

  • Product function & target market

Define intended use, target consumer, and regional compliance.

  • Drawings, references & benchmarks

Share CAD, 2D drawings, physical samples, or inspiration images.

  • MOQ, timeline & budget

Agree on commercial parameters that frame sample development.

02 Sample Type

Choose the right sample for your stage.

Not every project needs an open-mold sample on day one. We offer three sample pathways tailored to your validation goal.

3-5 Days

Existing Model Sample

Pulled directly from our in-stock catalog of standard pet product designs. Ideal for private-label buyers evaluating quality baseline.

7-10 Days

Modified Sample

Based on an existing mold with adjustments to color, logo, hardness, or minor structure. Balanced cost and customization.

15-30 Days

Fully Custom Sample

Complete new tooling from your CAD/sketch. Includes 3D printing proof, mold flow analysis, and first-shot physical sample.

03 Material & Color

The right compound for the right job.

We work with 100% food-grade silicone -- both solid and liquid injection grades. Every material decision is documented, tested, and matched against your target certification.

Material Grade FDA · LFGB · BPA-Free

Food-grade solid silicone (HTV) or liquid silicone (LSR), hardness range 20A-80A.

Color Matching Pantone · RAL

Custom color mixing against Pantone TPG/TCX chips. ΔE < 1.5 standard tolerance.

Surface Finish Matte · Glossy · Soft-Touch

Mold texture (VDI/SPI standards), post-processed coatings, UV treatment available.

04 Sample Production

Precision tooling meets craftsmanship.

Our sample workshop operates on the same equipment as mass production -- so what you approve is what you ship.

Step 01

3D Printing Proof

Rapid prototype in resin for visual + ergonomic review before mold cutting.

Step 02

Mold Cutting

CNC machining of P20 or 718H steel molds with ±0.1mm precision.

Step 03

Injection & Curing

Silicone injection molding on calibrated T1 trial-run machines.

Step 04

Post-Processing

Deburring, silk-screen printing, UV coating, or assembly as specified.

05 Internal QC Check

Every sample passes through our lab first.

Before a sample reaches your desk, it passes a 7-point internal inspection -- covering dimensions, function, safety, and appearance.

Dimensional Measurement

CMM & caliper verification across all critical dimensions.

Functional Testing

Fold, suction, leak, snap-fit, and seal integrity tests.

Tensile & Tear Test

Material strength and elasticity verification per ASTM D412.

Heat & Cold Resistance

-40°C to 230°C cycle testing for structural stability.

Appearance Check

Color, finish, flash, parting lines & logo clarity.

QC Report

Detailed inspection report with photos shipped with every sample.

06 Client Evaluation

Your sample. Your verdict.

We ship via DHL, FedEx, or UPS with full QC report, dimension sheet, and material test certificates. You evaluate on your terms, in your market.

Evaluation Checklist (Suggested)
  • Appearance matches brand standard
Color, finish, logo clarity, surface quality.
  • Dimensions and tolerance acceptable
Compare against spec sheet with calipers.
  • Function performs in real use
Test with actual pets or target scenarios.
  • Packaging & presentation
    Retail-ready packaging if applicable.
  • Compliance documents complete
    FDA/LFGB/CE test reports provided.
07 Revision Cycle

Iterate without compromise.

Most projects require 1-2 revision rounds. We've built our workflow around fast, low-friction iteration cycles.

Round 1 Feedback

Collect & Document

Client submits detailed feedback (photo, video, measurement) through our shared feedback portal.

Timeline: 1-3 business days
Engineering Review

Analyze Feasibility

Our engineers assess each change: material impact, tooling adjustments, cost delta, and mass-production implications.

Timeline: 2-5 business days
Second Sample

Revised Sample Shipped

Modified sample is produced, re-tested, and shipped with a change-log document detailing every adjustment.

Timeline: 5-10 business days
08 Golden Sample

The Golden Sample is the law.

Once signed, the Golden Sample becomes the single source of truth for mass production. Every unit we ship is quality-benchmarked against it.

Signed physical sample sealed and archived
Digital spec document & dimensional drawing
Material certificate & color standard chip
QC acceptance criteria formally agreed
Approved golden sample sealed with signed label and certification documents
09 Sample → Mass Production

A seamless handover, by design.

The gap between approved sample and first mass shipment is where most factories fail. Here's how we bridge it.

A

Mold Validation

T1 trial run of 50-100 units confirms the production mold matches the Golden Sample tolerances across every cavity.

B

Pilot Run

Small-batch pilot of 500-1000 units stress-tests the entire production line including packaging and assembly.

C

PP Sample Approval

Pre-Production sample from the pilot run is submitted for final sign-off before full mass production kicks off.

Mass Production + In-Line QC

Each production line is paired with a dedicated QC inspector (5+ years experience) running continuous checks against the Golden Sample. Full-inspection at outbound before container loading.

10 Common Questions

Sampling questions, answered.

How much does a sample cost?

For existing models, samples are typically USD 20-80 depending on size. For custom samples requiring new tooling, costs vary based on complexity (USD 300-2000+). Sample fees are often refundable against your first mass order.

What is the typical sample lead time?

Existing model samples: 3-5 days. Modified samples: 7-10 days. Fully custom samples with new tooling: 15-30 days. Shipping adds 3-7 days by air express.

Can I request multiple color/hardness variations?

Yes. We can produce the same sample in up to 5 colors or hardness levels simultaneously, which helps you evaluate options side-by-side. Additional color/hardness variations have a modest extra cost.

Who owns the mold after sample approval?

If the client pays for the custom mold, the client owns it. We store, maintain, and operate it exclusively for your production. NDA & tooling ownership agreements are available on request.

Do you sign NDAs before sampling?

Absolutely. We routinely sign mutual NDAs with brand clients before receiving design files. Your IP, drawings, and brand concepts are strictly confidential.

What certifications can you provide with samples?

Material-level FDA, LFGB, RoHS, and REACH test reports from third-party labs (SGS, Intertek, BV). Full product-level certifications (CE, UL) are issued post-mass-production.
